Mold SetterThis role focuses on setting and changing molds on injection molding machines to support efficient, high-quality production. You will prepare, install, and remove molds, load machine programs, and set up robotic arms for each production run. During operation, you will monitor machine status, respond to alerts, and assist with troubleshooting to maintain product quality and minimize downtime. We are looking for candidates with high mechanical aptitude looking to develop their skills in a manufacturing setting!ResponsibilitiesRetrieve molds from storage, inspect them, and prepare them for installation.Safely install, align, and secure molds in injection molding machines.Load and verify the correct pre-programmed machine settings for each production run.Set up and adjust robot arms and other automated equipment.Work with process technicians to verify setups before production begins.Monitor machine lights and alarms and respond immediately to warnings or hazards.Partner with machine operators to troubleshoot mold, machine, and part issues.Complete approximately three to four mold changes per day, with each change taking up to 45 minutes once fully trained.Accurately record, label, and dispose of scrap each day according to company procedures.Ensure all required rework is completed and documented by the end of each shift.Required ExperienceStrong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting or repairing equipment.Comfortable operating machinery and using various hand and power tools.Able to support mold changes, production setup, and machine troubleshooting.Able to follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and all other safety procedures.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Able to stand for the duration of the shift, except during scheduled breaks.Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds or more occasionally.Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.Available Shifts and Pay1st: 6am-2:30pm+ $1.50 attendance bonus, monthly attendance bonus - $21.502nd: 2pm-10:30pm +$1.50 attendance bonus, including $1.50 shift differential - $233rd: 10:pm-6:30am+$1.50 attendance bonus, including $1.50 shift differential - $23Why Work Here?The organization offers strong benefits and a performance-focused culture that rewards reliability, skill development, and continuous improvement. All shifts offer a monthly attendance bonus, and 2nd and 3rd shifts include a shift differential in addition to the attendance bonus. Everyone who starts in this role takes a mold test to determine their starting level, with Level I, II, and III structures in place to recognize skill and experience. You will work on and around injection molding machines, robotic arms, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy and mechanical equipment. The role requires standing for most of the shift, frequent lifting and moving of materials, and working in a production environment where safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, are strictly followed. Attire is typical for a manufacturing setting, with appropriate safety gear and protective equipment provided or required in accordance with facility policies.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lafayette, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
